Photo update!
I got this "ring" on etsy hoping it would make a nice crown for my 1:6 scale dolls. It is the largest size available (15) and still smaller than I had hoped. Maybe someday I will learn to solder and then I can make custom ones...there are so many things I want to learn. Life is too short (work is too long!!). I updated Alisha's makeup with gold and brown eyeshadow, and coral red lips. I even repainted her pupils, mostly for practice. Doing makeup on the porcelains is harder for me than a regular faceup because I don't seal between layers so...one crooked eyelash and I have to start over! But it is peaceful work. Also I wanted to say that the forum has gotten big enough now that I have to search to find my own posts. AWESOME!! I had hopes for this forum becoming a lively place, and I think that is coming true. It makes me very happy to see love for porcelain bjds and all the talented artists here on the forum. Thank you all for sharing your collections and your joy!

I feel so grateful for these dolls every time I handle them. They are so wonderful. Thank you also for your words about my work on the forum. But really, no amount of hard work on my part would make a successful forum. It is a success because the topic is of interest to so many people. I am glad we all share this interest. <3 <3

It's actually very pretty on her. I saw a ring the other day shaped like deer antlers and wondered if it would fit one of my small girls. It was real silver so was reluctant to spend on it without know if it would fit.

It was real silver so was reluctant to spend on it without know if it would fit. That is one reason I posted the picture, so other people could see the effect. This is a size 15 ring. Alisha is about 12" tall and wears a 4" wig. 15 is one of the largest ring sizes, so if you can find a ring that size or bigger it will look good on a small head.
