I'm trying to find leather to re-line the joints on my Forgotten Hearts doll. I know I need glove weight leather but searching on eBay or Google gets me nothing but gloves! I need white or light peach to match her skin tone...any ideas where to get it or what key words I should be using to search?

oh...comon)) there are tons of suitable leather on ebay If you want glove leather try smth like "Italian LambSkin" Glove leather is 08-1.2 mm thick usually. But i would recommend you a harder one for porcelain joints. Have a look to cow skin

Glove leather is what my Paperwhite dolls have, but it is thinner than on most porcelain dolls. I think I should use thicker leather like the doll originally had. I will try searching cowskin, thank you! And other tips are welcome too <3

Fitz you are so kind! I'll give it another try before I accept your offer though. I did try searching pliver, but it turned up only tractors lol. I'll search again at home with all this new information since it's always more difficult on mobile. I remembered there is a place near me that may have some, Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles. I have found leather scraps there before to use for doll shoes. I might try to go on Saturday. It will be much better to see and feel the leather before I buy it. They also sell pieces of handmade lace and vintage fabrics and have beautiful curated museum exhibits. Maybe I will find some nice things for making doll clothes too! It's really a wonderful place, and I recommend checking it out if anyone is ever in Berkeley, California.

Allurose: I found very nice thin leather from an artisan in Finland, who makes gloves. So if You check artisans who make gloves, You could ask them to sell You left-over pieces (and those are the best parts for us, because they also include the thinnest parts ) I bought some thin leather from Italy via ebay, and although it is thin, it is not thin enough for smaller dolls.
