I've gotten it into my head lately to want a 1/12 scale doll. Does anyone know of any nice dolls, porcelain or resin, that are that size? I want a mature female human/realistic doll with double joints. I saw a couple on etsy that I liked but I'm interested in looking around a bit.

I'm also ok with 3D printed, as long as it's good quality.

These are actually pretty darn cute. What size are the Micro Divas? Aren't they about 6" tall?

I love that size! There is an artist in the US, Anna Hardman, she occasionally makes porcelain BJDs in that size. You can check out her website for more info. ^_^

The micro divas are pretty but to me their legs are too long and willowy. I love that the Anna hardman dolls are porcelain, but I wish for double joints very much! And yes, 3D printed or resin is ok with me. I do really like porcelains though .

Excuse my ignorance but what is meant my 3D printed? I have never come across the term in the doll world before!! ; ) The dolls are sculpted using a 3-D program such as Z-brush and then printed out. Here is a very, very thorough and informative article describing the process of digitally sculpting and printing a ball jointed doll. www.dannychoo.com/en/post/27195/Smart+Doll.html

I sure wish we could 3-D print porcelain. Well, supposedly they can print metal, and burritos and some organs now, so why not porcelain? Although that might be a combo kiln/printer and maybe the heat would melt all the metal and plastic parts and the laser that solidifies the printing material. But maybe, just maybe, it could print the porcelain slip, or some variant thereof?
