Hello all Some of you may know me from the Enchanted forum, although I will admit I lurk more than I post. I became interested in porcelain bjds when I found Marina Bychkova's dolls online by chance in 2008. Since then, I have also found an interest in other porcelain bjds, though I cannot say any have inspired my like the Enchanted Doll has. I own a resin ED, but must admit that it has accidentally been buried in a storage unite after my parents suddenly moved (which as you can imagine is extremely upsetting. I've gone digging for it many times, but to no avail. I have resigned to wait until the move is complete and it is found by chance). I only held my RED one time before she left me, and I will say that holding her, I knew porcelain dolls were my real passion. I appreciate the artistry that is my RED, and do value having a doll by Marina, but I long to hold a porcelain doll of my own. As such, I have become more committed to the idea my own doll project, but it is slow going and usually put on hold for months at a time. I am a full time art student at ASU, my major is Printmaking, so my doll is only fiddled with when I do not have school art to do for the most part. Still, I will be sure to post my project in the doll making forum. I am very excited for this website, since it was mentioned on Enchanted, I have already discovered many more artists that I would like to be following.

Nice to meet you Tovah G. Sorry to hear about your RED going missing in the storage unit. How upsetting, and I hope you find her soon. Looking forward to seeing your doll project!

Yes, I hope you find her soon! How stressful. And I hope you will post pictures of your work in progress in the Workshop section! There are SO many artists I want to see included on here too! Feel free to start Discussion threads for your favorites. I'm going to try to start some today myself.

I'm sure she will turn up eventually. I will be sure to post up a threat about my doll project as soon as I have finished with my latest progress on her. As it is, she's going through some major aesthetic changes I think, so it may be pointless to show what I have thus far.
