I've made two sets of silver and gold-filled jewels for my dolls. They're made of fine silver wire and beads as well as gold-filled wire and findings. I've also used Paua shell, garnet, amethyst, freshwater pearls, cubic zirconium and Swarowsky beads. There's a tiara, earrings, necklaces. They're my first try at wire wrapping. Fawkes, there are simply stunning! Your wire wrapping is superb and you have a great eye for design. The red earrings are my favorite. All those little wire curls make it look very ornate!

Thank you Allurose! I'm new at this game so it took me quite some time to make them; the gold-filled necklace and earrings and the tiara were adapted from a design by Dale Armstrong. Her work is stunning. The Eye of Horus is my own though. The most difficult part was to adapt her designs to fit a 40cm doll.

The Eye of Horus is my favourite piece! If this is your first shot at it, you are very talented indeed! I can't wait to see your dolls wearing them.

Thank you Bibarina. It is indeed my first shot but I don't think I'm talented. What's great with dollmaking is that it involves so many activities. I like to do everything myself and it's always interesting to learn new skills; I didn't want to learn soldering straight away - my next step though - so wirewrapping was perfect for me and as I said before I was amazed by what Dale Armstrong could do with just a few wires and I wanted to try that myself. I'm happy you like it.
