And finally.........
The Tale of Helian Long ago, in a remote part of China, there lived a beautiful young village girl, called Helian. She was named after the Lotus, or Water-lily which was her mother’s favourite bloom. As Helian grew up, her natural grace and delicate beauty became legendary in those parts, and soon it’s fame spread far and wide until it reached the ears of the emperor, who was intrigued by all that he heard. Determined to know if the tales were true, the emperor sent an emissary to the village, who confirmed that all the tales were indeed true and more. He praised her beauty so eloquently that the emperor ordered him to bring Helian to the palace so she could become his concubine. Now, Helian was in love with a handsome young village boy and they were betrothed. The emissary, knowing that Helian wouldn’t leave with him willingly, sent the boy on a journey under a false pretence, and arranged for him to be ambushed and killed. He then tricked the unsuspecting Helian into travelling to the palace by telling her that her young lover would be waiting for her there. Realising she had been tricked, Helian was full of sorrow and despair. Knowing she could not escape her fate, Helian made one last request before she lost her freedom- to bathe in a fragrant pool of water-lilies by moonlight. Floating among the water-lilies in the moonlit pool, she cried out to the spirits of her ancestors to help her- for she would surely die of a broken heart. Her pleas were heard, and slowly she fell into a deep slumber. The lilies gently entwined her limbs and pulled her down into the dark depths of the water. For centuries, Helian’s spirit roamed the earth calling and searching for her lost love, until one day, the wind taking pity on her, whispered her story with its own lament. This whisper drifted on the breeze, until it passed by SisterFox, who reached out and caught it. She held it to her ear so she could hear the wind’s sad tale. SisterFox took heed of the wind, and began to work. She worked day and night without rest until at long last, her creation was finished. The faint scent of lotus blossom filled the air. Quietly SisterFox called forth the wind so she could hear it whisper once again. She turned and gently murmured a name..... `Helian’.......and the fragile porcelain beauty slowly came to life. SisterFox loved Helian with all her heart, but knew that she must let her go. She finally bids her a sad farewell and Helian begins the long journey in search of her lost love once more. And who knows? One day, if we listen very carefully, the wind may just whisper his name too.........

Thank you all! The story just unfolded whilst I was unpacking her. I was thinking that it would be wonderful to have a male companion for my little SisterFox dolls, and the story just wrote itself!
Perhaps SisterFox will catch his whisper too! I live in hope lol!

OMG, what a lovely story. You MUST start writing some books. I really loved the way you told Helian's story.
Congratulation on arrival of another beautiful doll. Her sisters must be very happy to welcome her.

wow! I'm absolutely amased by this story. It's... it's almost what my friends say about my dolls, that they are probably some immaterial creatures I contact with, and that I make their humanlike image. They say I don't remember this contacts, but they influece to me by this inspiration. My friends believe in spiritual experience and in reincarnation in different worlds, and they believe that all souls experienced many stories through the eternity of their existence and some of these stories tend to repeat. I'm thrilled with this coincidence. I'm planning to make male doll, surely asian, but I'm afraid it will become to reality at least in a year

Yes, I didn't get a chance to respond when this story first came up but I think it is very poignant, wistful and suits sisterFox's magical dolls especially well. SisterFox is able to imbue some special something into her dolls. It is hard to explain but it's almost as if they are calling out for you. When I first saw Kitsune I felt this immediately and had to have her. I adore sisterFox's dolls....

The story literally unfolded in my mind as I was unpacking her, and really told itself.... your dolls really do seem to have a life of their own- each one with a very distinct personality. It would be wonderful if Helian found her lost love, so I await next year in hopeful anticipation!!

This is how I feel about her dolls too bluemoonstars... one cannot pinpoint exactly what it is, but they are truly magical.... and I truly mean it when I say the story unfolded all by itself.... I felt a huge compulsion to write it down!
