Thank you Allurose for the link on how to post photos. Btw the tattoo is silver overlay; yeah, I know I'm a poor photographer

Your dolls are lovely, I really enjoy the blonde girl's light eyes and red lips. I find her very appealing! I would love to see a picture which details your hands, they seem very well done, but I would love to see them up close.

If you would like to have a more feminine delicate appeal, I would recommend narrowing the shoulders, even make her hips a bit more predominant. But you could make it more hour glass by keeping it balanced. Love the silver filigree !

But you could make it more hour glass by keeping it balanced. Love the silver filigree ! I have narrowed the torso and redesigned the upper part of the arms so her shoulders will be narrower too; the belly will be slightly different too. However I don't want her hips to be too large. I've already fired these parts and I'm currently sanding them to make three new dolls. I also realise that the photos seem to distort reality as they are not so broad shouldered when I look at at them. I really should invest in a better camera.

I think these are fabulous- I would love to have a go at making my own doll one day, but like you, have no formal training, so have put it off... you are inspirational - can't wait to see more....

Thank you ;-) I think practise is the key when you're self-taught. You can begin with polymer clay before investing in expensive tools like a kiln for example. See what works and what doesn't, what you like or don't... It requires a lot of time and patience. Studying anatomy and proportions helps too. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you feel the need. I'm no professional but if I can help...

I really look forward to seeing how your work progresses, and well done for giving it a go- It just goes to show what you can achieve if you give it a try.
