Hi I'm Hasel and I'm making ,what I like to call, interactive statue's. My work is about the fragile bond between people when they form a friendship, to me this bond of mutual trust and intimacy is one of the most beautifull things in the world. I always work with life models, which are always my friends. I am very blessed to have friends who are willing to spend hours modeling for me so I can make my art. I've recently finished my first portait in porcelin: Aebele Essence by Hasel-Anne, on Flickr He is in scale 1:3 what makes him about 60 cm big. I work with a porcelin called Snowwhite as I want my art to show the pure and innocence of the feeling I try to convey. My use is glaze is quite minimal as I try to keep as much white as possible. You can see and read more of my work here: www.annevanstormbroek.nland a lot more photo's here: www.flickr.com/photos/hasel-anne

He is absolutely stunning! The white porcelain really brings out the body sculpture beautifully!

It is so nice to see a male doll! I really love his face, it is so peaceful. Your soft blushing is also very beautifully done.

These dolls are incredible, and I love the photos of the gorgeous guy posing with 'his' doll. Stunning. I agree with Tovah that the pale, delicate blushing really makes the dolls look.

The sculpting detail on this doll is just incredible! I saw these pictures on Flickr but I didn't realize the doll was porcelain. I love how the photos look with the white doll in the heavily saturated forest. Very well done, I will be following your work with interest!

Yay! Hazel! I also really like the idea of interactive sculptures! Long ago I found myself on the fact that I like dolls in stage before make up, they seem to me more expressive than those already with makeup. Makeup gives only one expression, and a white face can be read so much variety of potential!

Thanks everyone! It makes me so happy to read that you all recieve him so well! I'm really glad that the idea's and feelings I was hoping to portray do come over to the viewer Aeroksana, I try to sculpt in such a way that the sculpture can stand on it's own and does not need color. I do add a little bit of color to highlight certain parts of him (he also has pink buttcheeks ) Mdonline03, I have just started working on a girls portrait, but it's still in the planning stages so it will take a while before she is finished. But Aebele for certain isn't the last portrait I will be making. I'm so happy how he turned out and I feel this shape is the shape I have always searched for in my art to convey the feelings I want to convey.
