For display inspiration, I thought you may be interested to see some of my collection of Bonsai Display Tables of different shapes & sizes used for doll display in the cabinets
This is the flat table we tend to see in all the shops, marvellous for displaying either 2 small dolls together or one girl with a vouminous costume - model here is Dunyazade by Marina Bychkova and you can see she lounges quite comfortably here - a good heavy solid table, comes in a variety of sizes
This table is small and lightweight, so I use it to display Fortune Teller by Tireless Artist, along with her chair. As she is a resin art doll the table need not be too heavy, and as the doll is tiny the table is not too overpowering
The 2-tier table is solid and ornate, I really like this one, it seats at the top tiny porcelain Mouse by Lidia Snul and the bottom shelf is perfect for Lidia's Dogrose to relax and snooze. Getting in on the act on the floor is Oty by Shirrstone Shelter
It's also good for displaying a single doll too, seated high up and dangling her feet is Levanah by Visionary Doll, she rests her silver shoes on the bottom shelf
This has to be my favourite table of all time! It is so versatile. The 3-tier table. Use for 3 dolls or just 2, or just one!
Demonstrating here are soul sisters Levanah and Gaiae by Visionary Doll
Serious discussion going on here !
Gaiae likes to drape herself across it
And finally the multi-tier table, beautiful but not quite as solid as the others so it is only used occasionally for photos.
Porcelains here are top left Winter by SisterFox, bottom left Leonarda by Shirrstone Shelter, middle is Mouse again, and right is Alyonna by Lidia Snul
I know some of the doll photos aren't too clear but the purpose of the post is to show the display tables.
There are lots of places to buy these tables but if anyone is interested I can highly recommend www.premierbonsai.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d32.html - I bought the 2 and 3-tier tables from them, they are absolutely brilliant. Lewis is extremely kind and helpful, and although they are based in the UK they do ship abroad.
