Artist Name: Anna Tide Company Name: Serenity Kingdom Website: www.serenity-kingdom.comFlickr: www.flickr.com/photos/anna_tide/Facebook: www.facebook.com/anna.tide.5Livejournal: anna-tide.livejournal.com/Company statement: It does not matter what kind of winds are raging around us, but in the depths of each of us there is a world, a secret place, our own kingdom of peace and serenity. We are the ownerS of this kingdom, but we don't rule there. To be more exact we do, but that is somebody from our childhood, somebody we were many years ago. We won't see this child in the mirror anymore, but someone, looking at the world with open eyes, is still living inside of us. This person is spreading his arms into the big world outside. He is very fragile and vulnerable, it is easy to offend him, he needs to be protected. And we defend him with all our strenght, we surround his little world with thick walls and because of that we often silence his voice in our hearts. But this person is not going away, he still remains with us. Thanks to him we never lose hope. Thanks to him we continue to believe in people, because of him we continue to love again and again. Serenity Kingdom dolls are the embodiment of our inner self. They are these fragile, naive and kind children, whose voice we hear at the moments of the most bitter disappointments and our most serene happiness. Doll Lines & Sculpts: Mold Daisy Measurements 28 cm tall (11 inch) Daisy: Lorena (mold Daisy, changed face, OOAK) Thank you for watching, if you have any questions, I'd love to answer them ^__^

WOW! I love your artist statement! It mirrors my own thoughts when looking at your dolls already. They are the perfect "inner child" dolls, and whose inner child doesn't need protection and pampering!
Also I want to say how much I appreciate that your childlike dolls are photographed in childlike positions. It seems common in the ABJD hobby to have dolls with childlike faces that are on adult like bodies and posed in "sexy" positions. I find that disturbing sometimes, although I don't judge what other people like or do with their dolls. But my point is your dolls are just to my taste and have absolutely been added to my wishlist!
Thanks so much for posting. <3

Oh I do have a question! What kind of tension do your dolls use?

And decided to write the truth. So as I feel them. I'm working with ABJDs many years and I know how to work with such kind of doll, because all of them are alive! And if it is a child-doll, you should be really very carefully with the poses, you are right... But children's poses are much cuter as the adults ones anyway ^___^ And about the tension. I use the elastics. I think this way is softer as springs.

I love your dolls as well, I first saw the little red head on ebay. She is very reminiscent of my little fee. Just very sweet and darling. I also love your poses and how it's like she is looking up at you, like when my kids were small. Adorable.

These dolls are so cute and well done! The painting is done in a very beautiful way and the photos are so sweet! I don't 'hobby' child-dolls (I did try few times, does not work with me) but if I did, I would certainly want one of these cuties!

These are so sweet, and I agree with what was said above, it's nice to see child dolls actually being shown as childlike. Thank you for sharing!

I am usually not attracted to very young looking dolls, but these are so cute and sweet!! And, I agree, I am happy that you show them in a childlike way - I also find it disturbing when people pose and dress child dolls like adults. It's just not right…. I showed this page to my mom (we are in the doll hobby together, and share all of our dolls), and she really loves your dolls too! I wouldn't be surprised if she wants one in the future. ^-^ I look forward to seeing more of them!

Anna's work is amazing and truly magical. Her sensitive and lovely nature is instilled in her beautiful creations. I'm so fortunate to have one of her teddy-dolls. I Treasure my sweet Bunny. I'm now on pins and needles waiting for my lovely Lorena.
