What did you order? Marmite Sue Alice in shell
Link to the website or thread you used to make the purchase, if any: marmite.doll-menagerie.com
When did you order (date you paid): June 2015
2.
About the Quality of Service (rate 1-3, explain any 1s or 2s)
Clear photos? 2- Not exactly, they look shiny in the promo but I figured they had less of a shimmery look in person and they do - at least mine does. I think she might need a higher quality camera or take pictures without the colored lighting because she looks very different in person (much better, but still, if you were trying to make a determination)
Easy to pay? 3 Very. I sent a payment through her invoice
Good communication? 2 - Ehhhh Somewhat? Responses took a long time and a few questions didn't get a response at all.
Prompt shipping? 1 - Absolutely not >_< and I hate to say anything bad, because I don't know the whole story, but they were done sitting for a month, as far as I know just four dolls.. I think she needs help when it comes to shipping them promptly. That said, the shipping speed was very good. And I'm glad she made it here in the end, but for being such a long wait, a prompt shipment would have been nice.
Production time, if relevant: 1- But I knew this getting in. It's a really long wait. It ended up being a year and four months from payment to receipt. It's only a 1 because it is what it is, I'm not upset about the wait. She had production issues with the new material and I totally understand.
Quality of packaging: 3 - excellent

About the Quality of the Product (rate 1-3, explain any 1s or 2s)
Did the quality match the price? 3- Absolutely. And the wait. And the anxiety. All the wondering and waiting was definitely worth it.
Item as pictured and described? 2 - I'm going to say yes, because I made a calculated guess on how she would arrive. The pictures are a little grainy and hard to determine exactly what you're getting. I did imagine she would be a bit more pink but I'm not disappointed about it.
Quality of porcelain (too thin? Rough spots?): 3 - Just because I have no idea. This is my first porcelain. She seems to look nice to me.
Quality of tension (does the doll hold poses? Too loose and floppy?): 3- Perfect tension. Elastic strung. I wish she had used clay or something on the elbow joints, but I plan to do that and it will be perfect. Not a posing issue, but just porcelain on porcelain sound issue.
Quality of paintwork: 3- superb. And I was a little worried with some of the pictures she has released. I think it was a camera quality issue because in person, it's perfect.
Quality of sculpting: 3- fantastic. She did a wonderful job.
Quality of accessories (box, stand, wig, clothing, etc): 3 - Incredible. She has a magnet wig. The box was just lovely. She was tied up perfectly. Very happy.

Other comments? It is typical to have to wait a long time for her dolls. I knew this going in and ordered her anyway. My only issue was the time of completion to the shipping date. It spanned about a month, which didn't make sense to me after such a long wait and I had already paid.
Would you order from this company again? >_< I really would hesitate buying directly from the artist again, and I really really hate to say that. The wait is just too long for me and I would want to know what is going on all the time or have some sort of plan about the options, blushing, wigs, rather than it be ad hoc. Eli is wonderful. And her work is simply breathtaking. But I have my doll now and I think I am happy just to have her. If I were to ever want a doll again in the future, I would just enjoy looking at the pictures and maybe if it ever appeared on the second hand market, and I fell in love with it with really good owner pictures, I would buy, but I wouldn't go through the production process willingly again ^^; That said, I love her work. And I don't regret my purchase in the least.
