I know there's a lot of porcelain artists on this forum so I thought maybe a review on a porcelain supplier would be helpful, especially when a certain place has particularly bad service.
I shopped at The Porcelain Place (http://www.theporcelainplace.com/) in September for some doll supplies. I made my order and heard nothing back from them for two weeks. I was wondering why I hadn't heard anything about a shipping notification but they eventually emailed me and said that they were getting ready for a doll convention so there was going to be a delay until they got back after that weekend. As an apology they offered me a couple free china paints. I thought this was reasonable so I waited.
It took them a month to send me another email telling me they were getting my order ready. By this point I was about ready to give up on my order but since they had said they were getting it ready I was sure it was going to ship soon.
I waited another month before finally emailing them asking for a refund. They emailed me within a day saying that they were just about to ship it, gave me excuses that they had been working enough for 6 people and asked me if I still wanted it. As I was not sure if this whole thing would be followed by another month of me waiting for my supplies, I asked for the refund.
They gave me the refund but proceeded to tell me that they had many other customers and I wasn't welcome back- in not so many words.
I don't leave negative reviews often but I feel like the doll community should be aware of the kind of unprofessional management that's running this company. It's such a shame to have to wait so long for crafting supplies, let alone be met with that at the end of it all. Websites like this have no place to leave customer feedback so I hope this helps anyone looking for a place to buy their supplies.
