Thanks for the heads-up but I'm a bit confused, I thought this doll was made by Ekaterina and the owner is now selling her? I didn't read it as the artist selling it. Are you saying this doll wasn't made by Ekaterina or its a fraud being the same doll is being advertised on her Etsy as well as this fraud?

If this doll is still with Ekaterina, this is definitely a fraud auction, and Ekaterina can report it to eBay.

It looks like the seller is a well established fossil dealer, rather out of character!

It looks like the seller is a well established fossil dealer, rather out of character! Ekaterina still has this doll and you can buy it for 1700 Dollars from her etsy-shop. I contacted and asked her before posting this on the forum. I was also bewildered about the fact that this seller seems to be genuine (until now) but maybe someone hacked into this account and used it? I asked Ekaterina if she can keep us updated. Maybe we know more in a few days...

Dear friends! This man is a fraudster, he wrote me, asking questions about the dolls, asked for links to photos. Then he wrote me that they will contact me in 7 days!!!! And then I found out about this auction. Thanks to Diana for the fact that she saw it. I officially declare that the auction was irrelevant. I am the author of the doll and she is with me. You can buy it in my shop on Etsy I wrote to customer support on eBay, I hope the auction will be removed.

Something like this happened to me too a couple years ago with a tutorial I had on my website. Someone stole the tutorial and started selling it on eBay as their own. Sadly it took a whole month to get it sorted. I'm glad it was fixed so soon for you!

It sounds like we need our own version of the EDDA (Enchanted Doll Detective Agency)! I am sorry to see scammer catching on to this awesome hobby and making it riskier to buy dolls. But as well-informed fans, we can take action, like happened here, and prevent scammers from succeeding. More Info: heartsofclay.freeforums.net/thread/1028/detecting-reporting-scammers-illegal-salesDoes anyone have a screenshot and other info for community records?
