Good day everyone! Today I'm glad to show you my doll collection "The Rhinegold" which I made in December, 2016. This collection of three mermaid dolls, based on the first of the four music dramas that constitute Richard Wagner's "The Ring of the Nibelung". The Rhinemaidens are the three beautiful water-nymphs, their individual names are Woglinde, Wellgunde and Flosshilde. They are guardian of the Rhine gold from ugly nibelung Alberich. This BJDs are modeled in porcelain "Parian", drawn with overglaze china paints and golden overglaze paint (for green mermaid Wellgunde). The wigs are made of goat wool and mounted on the magnet. The tails of the dolls are made of leatherette, decorated with beads Miyuki and ribbon Shibori. This beautiful bjds are 41 cm tall. Without tail 35 cm tall. There are 21 joints that are covered by genuine leather and joint together by mean of elastic rubber. The fretwork on body (Wellgunde and Woglinde) are made of lace porcelain technology. The leatherette tails are made in the unique technique, created by the author (I cut out each fish-scales for those tail). Dolls took a part in the VII international doll exhibition Art of Doll in Moscow from 16 to 18 December 2016. Thank you for your interest, please, feel free to share your comments and ask questions Have a nice day! Etsy | Instagram | Facebook

What stunning mermaids! I love the hands and the small details in the hair etc. You can see each individual character, they are all beautiful.
