Polina just announced that her new dolls will go up for sale September 30 (but remember, she lives in Russia so she's talking her time zone). She doesn't give many details but she explains a little bit on her website: I'm guessing she will sell them on her Livemaster store (but this is just a guess so check her site as well). Buying through Livemaster is easy, even if you don't know Russian. If you use Google Chrome, it can automatically translate the page for you, and it does so well enough that you can get through the process without too much confusion. In the case that you accidentally try to buy one that has already sold, it will let you know. If you get confused, you can send a message to Polina (9th link down on the left side of her store page) and ask about the one in particular you want. You will probably need to use MoneyGram in order to pay, since I don't think she has a Paypal account (Paypal is not generally used in Russia for a reason I have not discovered yet). And just for reference: the Totem series (which is the last series she created) came out for sale in December 2013. Thus, this series has been almost a year in the making.

Have you seen her copyright information? I dont think you can just take pictures and post them on a blog or forum. She has very large limitations unless asked. link"The doll cannot be photographed, drawn or reproduced at the image in any other way for commercial use or use in advertising and promotional purposes without my written permission. The doll may not be published, i.e. represented in any form or by any means to an indefinite circle of persons, without my written permission. And, in order to avoid anti advertising and violation of my copyright, the doll cannot be publicly demonstrated on the photo, or in any other way, in different from the original form, without my consent. Any violation of my copyright, may result in legal proceedings without notice to the person who violated it."

Did I really understand correctly; if I had her doll and took photos of her, I would have to ask her permission to put those photos on Flickr etc. Because if she did not like the photos, she might see it as anti advertising, right? I asked my husband (who understands legal texts better than me) and he said it actually means that. But but but... I wouldn't want a doll I could not photgraph and show her in the internet. I must understand this copyright thing wrong....

I just found this after asking in another thread, sorry! Anyway, beautiful dolls, but that copyright notice is a little concerning. Maybe she meant to carry over the 'commercial use' phrase in the first sentence to the rest of the paragraph but it got lost in translation?

Wow, that's some really strict rules

That would be an unusually strict restriction. And it seems unlikely to me that she actually does not want owners to share pictures of the dolls, which is good for her business. I will ask her about this when I email her.
Nessa, doesn't she fave your Flickr photos all the time? This must mean no pictures for commercial purposes.

Then again, I know what happens when I assume things..... I assume this because she favorites my Flickr photos of her doll all the time and has even asked to use the photos in her own advertising. She even likes the ones of her doll in totally different clothing and wigs that don't represent her in her original look. Also, she doesn't block downloading of her images on Flickr like other artists do. She's also super nice so....I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.

This is torture, isn't it? The dolls now available on her site are so amazing and I wish I was rich! I hope many people from this forum are buying these dolls and hope we'll see them again!
Blue Peacock and Raven are my faves, I like dark haired dolls!
I would think she means for commercial purposes also, but best to contact her, whoever wants to be sure, thought that's the most likely to me.

I look forward to seeing more of these dolls. I love the masks for the totem series. I's like to have a collection of tiny masks!

I was going to buy one of these dolls.. But in the morning my internet connection did not work (we live in the middle of nowhere) and I missed those dolls I was interested in.. Maybe a good thing, because I just noticed that these dolls are only 29cm tall and for me that might be too tiny size (I prefer dolls closer to 40cm ). There is still one nude doll available, so hurry up if someone is interested !!!!!!!! These are so beautiful girls!
