And please Anthony do a sniper attack, don't plop all your money down at one time, it only makes other bidders want to see how much was put down, then they start bidding the doll up, and if we get one of those idiots that bid way up with no money backing them, it may top your top bid and then everyone will know what it is when that idiot's bids are taken off. Wait to bid down to the last seconds, you may want to practice on other auctions on ebay before then, but I find I can bid when the clock hits 3 seconds and my bid will get through!

Has anyone any idea of which works best, a "Sniper" set up, or just an outside limit amount with "automatic" bid?

Thank you all so very much!!!! Yes, I put in a sniper bid for Daphne, and it still wasn't enough. But I will be doing the same for Cinderella. We'll see if my luck pays off. I will spam her all over the place if I do manage to get her ^^ ~Anthony

Auction stealer is quite good for the last 5 second bids. I was told those can't afford to buy the doll will put false high bids so make sure you don't get it cheaply because of jealousy,I hope this is not true! Good luck Anthony!!!

What a terrible, spiteful thing to do! There must be consequences for that kind of thing, surely??

You would think so, wouldn't you? There should be some consequences in not following through with an offered bid. I'm not familiar with Auction Stealer. What's the difference between that and Sniper?

I really hope this doesn't happen, but there are some spiteful people in the world unfortunately!

When is this freaking auction going to get started! This is the second year it was supposed to be a "November" auction that ended up starting in December. I realize it's marketing, to get everyone excited in anticipation but when it drags on like this I really start to resent the manipulation.

At least this time I think the delay is because Marina is still working on the doll. Her blog post saying she had more work to do wasn't that long ago. I agree it is frustrating, but I know from living with an artist and creating things myself that it is very easy to underestimate how long projects take! I'm sure when Cinderella appears all Marina's time will be worth it. She will take our breath away!

Yes, Marina is an artist, but she is also running a succesfull business and as a business woman she should be able to manage her time in a way that things happen in time. Phryne was finished 9months ago, still no photos of her. And Theodora's photoshoot was scheduled to be ready three months ago -well, at least I haven't seen those photos. She has done dolls for years, so by now she should know better how long making a doll takes. And how long does it really take to make a photoshoot, when one has a photostudio inside one's apartment? Sorry to say these negative things, but in my mind If someone has a real business, it should be managed professionally and should run in schedule. This is not just a hobby for Marina, it's business. I would actually know a great finnish saying to go with this... But too hard to translate in english ;D I am not so much waiting for the upcoming auction -we would have to sell our Jaguar to get that doll and I think my husband would not agree And Cinderella is seen already, twice, even though she is now uptaded version with new mask and all. What I really would love to see, is Phryne photos.
