Love the name for her new material- Moonglass. Sounds a little bit magical and mysterious.

Unbreakable doll how I wish it was true but even shatter resilient is a big improvement in porcelain. Can't wait to get more detail of this new invention!

This is amazing! One of my massive worries about porcelain dolls is that I do play with my dolls....I'd be so worried about breaking one!

Eli has just announced on her blog that she and her father have just developed a new shock resistant ceramics slip. She's currently in the process of having her new porcelain patented and has posted some photos of sample faces with two different finishes. One is more translucent than the other. pickled.free.fr/index_en.htmlI just saw the photos ! It is incredible!!! She says: "There seems to already be some rumor about the dolls being unbreakable – this is untrue, and I do not claim this – please no throwing of dolls on the floor, I put a lot of work into them! but yes, unbreakable for all practical purpose of normal use, and yes, no shattering on an unfortunate collision impact." Anyway, it is totally breathtaking !!!! Can you imagine the effects that she can achieve now, using this material ? I see a sort of luminous white super delicate filigree doll... Sorry for my english, it was too much emotion dollmenagerie.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/3.jpg?w=298&h=374

I wonder if she and her father will be selling the clay as well once all the protections are on it? It looks beautiful.

Has there been any later news on this porcelain? I'd love to see how it looks as an actual doll!

Has anything new come up about this subject? Would love to know if there is a prototype to be seen yet.

There is photo of doll (in parts) made in moon glass in her twitter and Facebook. She has done such a beautiful face up with this doll!

Maybe it would be better if she did not sell it, and make her dolls exclusively out of it. It would give her a one up on everyone else.

I agree it would be good business practice, but her designs are so gorgeous and innovative, I'm not sure she needs a one-up!

On the other had- if she sold the slip to all who want to make dolls from it- that would be worth a lot. Then if you add in tother things made of porcelain- plates, vases, other figurines- tons of money.

That's some excellent news! If I'm not mistaken the two girls here are her bigger dolls - I hope she will also offer her smaller models. The girl on the left is gorgeous...Moonglass looks shinier than regular porcelain.
