I had the worst dolly-deal ever with Aida Maris Roman. It was my first commissioned porcelain doll. It was in 2010. I was really excited!!
I was quite new in this hobby and wanted a porcelain BJD. I contacted Aida and we discussed my commission of a doll with green eyes, red hair with a tattoo.
I payed lot of money ($ 1600) for the doll and waited more than one year to receive her.
In the meanwhile I contacted Aida lot of time cause she did not keep me informed about the work in progress.
(here you can read the full story:
bad-dolly-deals.livejournal.com/260847.html)I was really frustrated, devastated, discouraged about the situation.
I felt cheated and it had never happened to me before.
No doll and no money!
This was for al long never ending year ...
I made bad warning about her on Facebook, flickr, and everywhere I could do it. (and I was contacted by lot of customers with bad experience with Aida too)
I even contacted the Italian Honorary Consul in Arecibo, PR, Stati Uniti.
I lost lot of time and energy with it.
Only after more than 1 year I received the doll.Bad packaged but hopefully safe.
She has white hair and blue eyes (instead of green eyes and red hair). She can't pose, she is floppy and the porcelain seems to me like a egg shell … She is closed in a box since I received her.
I love dolls and I have been collecting dolls since some years now, but I never had to deal with such people.
I was scared and I no longer trust people as before.
This was a horrible experience who I do not wish to anyone!
