We are so excited to introduce you to this labor of love, Hearts of Clay! Please take a moment to read the rules. Then you can i ntroduce yourself! The forum is just getting started so there is lots of space for you to post pictures and discussion of your favorite owned or admired porcelain bjds. Are you a doll artist? We recommend checking out these tips for artists using the forum! You can also post suggestions to improve the forum and use the shoutbox at the bottom of the page to chat with other online members! <3 Welcome! We hope to see so much more of you. <3 ~~~~~~~~ The forum is very new at this point, so there may be some changes as we figure out the best rules, forums structure, etc. We hope to have most of the dust settled by December, at which point we may have some "grand opening" contests and events. So stay tuned & post your suggestions and comments! <3

Welcome, Isslyn! Thank you, I hope you and everyone else likes the forum! Merrijane, you are so welcome! Yes, it looks to me like those dolls are On Topic. I won't be attempting to create a thread for each artist myself...there are so many it would be impossible! But if you are a fan of their work, I think it would be amazing if you started the thread yourself! I'm sure there are many people like you who want to see dolls from many artists! Thank you all for the nice comments.

Can you please include the wonderful Japanese porcelain doll artist, Koitsukihime? Excellent idea! I've read once this artist is very secretive about her work; photos are not allowed when there's an exhibition for example. It could be interesting to learn more.

Can you please include the wonderful Japanese porcelain doll artist, Koitsukihime? Excellent idea! I've read once this artist is very secretive about her work; photos are not allowed when there's an exhibition for example. It could be interesting to learn more. Fawkes, I'd love to know more too...I am hoping someone might join the forum who actually owns a doll...that would be fabulous! I know that Koitsukihime has been a huge inspiration and idol for Marmite Sue. I stumbled upon a blog recently, where a person had attended her exhibition and managed to take one photo before they were stopped. From memory the small dolls were about $10,000 and I read somewhere else that one of her large dolls (over 1 metre tall) sold for around $30,000. Quite reasonable I thought, in comparison to the price of Enchanted Dolls for example. I think I'll take allurose's advice and start a Koitsukihime thread in the hope that more fans may appear!
