Hi amoreen, Welcome to the forum. I've seen your name on Enchanted Doll forum. I hope to visit Italy one day. My grandmother came from Sicily--and my husband was stationed in Italy during his time in the Navy. What would be a good doll show to attend in Italy?? I keep up with Magia and some of the other Fashion dolls but would like to see more of the art and porcelain BJD in that area. Hi, Jill. I truly hope you will visit Italy one day! There are so much things to see! As to doll shows in Italy, I'm afraid not to be very helpful... The only show I attended to was the Fashion Doll Convention in Grottammare about two years ago where Marina Bychkova came with most of her porcelain dolls and I had a true pleasure and honour to see them in person... my heart still thrills when I think about those moments! One of our sweet memebers (don't know even when??? - probably because I was too excited ;-) ) took few pictures that I still keep on my pc... Other shows, as far as I know, do not regard porcelain dolls, but I am not a very reliable on that issue. Sorry for that! I hope you don't mind if I share with you my happiness:

Bobo, is Grottamare , where Magia 2000 has their Fashion Doll Show? I thought that was mostly Barbie dolls. Is there a porcelain fashion doll show in Italy? Linda Macario creates lovely porcelain BJD & lives in Italy but child dolls, not fashion.

Marina was a very special guest and, apart from her brand new resin Enchanted Doll line, she brought there also most of the porcelains ... what a treatment! But, as far as I know, there is no specific show for porclain dolls, unfortunately.

Amoreen, It is nice that there is a fashion show that makes a pleasant place for porcelain dolls as well. About how many people attend that convention, please?
