Hello. My forum name is Issilyn I found out about this lovely Forum from the Enchanted doll forum. I'm very glad there is a place where we can talk about other porcelain ball jointed dolls.
I currently have 2 porcelain BJDs but my 3rd one is in the mail as we speak. Anya is my avatar right now and she was made by Natasha Yaskova . My 2nd one is a Forgotten Hearts Doll. Her name from the artist was Flora Shae, but I haven't given her one of my own yet. She came with a Pink wig and Mermaid outfit. The 3rd one, on his way to me, is a Male Forgotten Hearts Doll that I bought off the secondary market. He was fashioned after King Arthur.
One day, if I'm very very lucky, I hope to own a porcelain Enchanted Doll

Hello issilyn and welcome to this forum. You have very unique and lovely dolls. And congratulations on your Prince, i was drooling over him for a long time but didn't got the courage to buy him. Well, good for you. He is one handsome dude and well dressed too. Looking forward to see pictures of him and your other dolls as well.

I also saw that FH boy on ebay! What a lucky person you are. I can't wait to see pictures of them all! And I think many of us share your dream with regards to ED... I made a sad little joke about that by putting an ED as the icon for the Want to Buy section in the marketplace, lol!

Hi issilyn! I'd be really interested to know if you are happy with the quality and posing of your Forgotten Hearts doll.

Hi issilyn! What a great and varied collection you have. I too am looking forward to seeing more photos of the FH male doll. He has a really great sort of 'rugged' look to him.

Merrijane: The Female FH doll I have already, poses quite well. I don't have a lot to compare her with. The Resin BJDs I have are kicky and Anya, the Natasha Yaskova one, I had to put leather in her joints myself because I couldn't stand the noise of the porcelain scraping on itself. Anya still doesn't pose very well. I put thin wires inside her legs so she stays in the poses I put her in. I'll update you how the FH males pose when my "prince" arrives. As for quality the outfits are not usually well made but i want these dolls to sew for , so I'm not terribly worried about that. My only real complaint is the eyelashes in the female dolls. Mine has some on the top left but they fall off really easily. The bottom ones on mine had come off when I unpacked her. The boy dolls don't have them though. =^.~=
NeneThomas: I'll post pics soon... I hope to take some of my girls tomorrow when I'm off, but I have to wait on the "prince" to arrive. "....Someday my prince will come...." Ha ha

Hi All, It's so nice to see so many porcelain enthusiasts here. I have a lot of porcelain dolls and a lots of resin BJDs but no "porcelain BJD", so am hoping to find a lot of options and information like, which porcelain BJDs pose the best. Nice to hear that FH porcelains pose well. Nene, You and I met at IDEX a few years ago in Orlando. I wondered if you had created any of your wonderful fantasy costuming for any of these porcelain girls--and, if so, do you sell any of them. ) Issilyn, I look forward to seeing pix of your new "prince" as well as your present dolls. If you are still looking for a resin BJD that poses well--have you checked out the Popovey Sis dolls? They pose like a dream. No kicking--will stay put no matter where you put them. Got to get myself an avatar. This pic is really not pretty. LOL

Issilyn - thanks so much for that info. I have my eye on a FH doll at the moment, thankfully she doesn't have applied eyelashes. =^.~= Sorry yours are falling off! Hope your Prince arrives soon, I'll look forward to hearing about him. I find kicky joints really frustrating and I'm even more fussy about posing now since receiving my Popovy girls. I have to agree with Jill, they pose brilliantly and leave my other dolls wanting in that regard.

Welcome Issilyn! I'm lucky you own FH dolls as they're rarely seen beyond the promo pictures on the FD sites. There's some controversy about them about the quality and it's nice to have someone who can speak about them first-hand. As far as I know the eyelashes falling off is a frequent problem with these dolls. Another one is the porcelain itself which some say is too thin compared with other dolls. BTW congratulations on your new doll. I had also spotted him on ebay. Glad you could get him.

Hmmm--guess it would increase my odds if I actually bought a ticket. )
Wonder if the PD would ever consider doing a porcelain BJD. That would be awesome!

Jill, I do remember you! Great to 'see' you again. Sadly, I don't have any finished dolls or original costumes I've completed. Been too busy painting!

I've posted a thread with pics in "Photos" about how the FH male doll poses. (Quite well! )
