Don't forget to include the lawyer's fees into your doll's price. As soon as you sell something we are in court because you stole my idea of putting crystals into porcelain and copied the forms. Luckily, I am protected by the copyright laws. See you in court, dear. Rafael Nuri

There have been many doll artists in the past who have used this technique, even in the 19th century.....Search through Google images for Rochard technique dolls and you will see several porcelain ('china') dolls that have raised necklaces overlaid with gold and set with semi-precious stones. Before anybody accuses anybody else of copying they should do their research....Everyone is inspired by other artists...That is how we all learn and get better at our craft, even you rafael....

Are heavy with guilt. It is the accuser who is often guilty of the same crime as the accused. This is a very small community and everyone is aware of everyone else's work. You may want to look honestly into yourself and see where the inspiration for a lot of your own work came from...

Gemma's jewelry by Kaa-Annaku, on Flickr I also do not agree with the creator (fhdolls) to be on this forum directly without first making amends with people who gave their hard earned money when she didn't fulfill her end. In terms of creativity, it should always be free (regurgitated or not). Unless it looks exactly the same or if you have every element patented in each country it would be hard to get it into court.

Cute dolls. They keep getting better and better. I wish the faces reflected more of a South Asian look in tandem with the Hindu theme but they are very lovely regardless. Great engraving.
Hmmm.. accusations (oh sorry dear Fitz)... I strongly suggest any accusers make darn sure they themselves are beyond reproach otherwise they end up looking like aggressive fools. Ghzel style engraving? Poured metal accessories? Beaded capes? Gilding over engraving? Yeah, right, those things were thought up independently without the influence of Enchanted doll or other artists?? Why is this not subject to copyright but setting a rhinestone into a gilded circle of porcelain is??? Ridiculous.
There is nothing new under the sun. Even Marina has been influenced by something or someone. Japanese doll artists have been making incredibly beautiful and advanced works way before this recent porcelain bjd craze. Where it began and where it will end is the natural evolution of the art. Now SELLING recast dolls for profit-- that is a whole other matter.

I really like the Buddha tattoo, it is amazing! But the face doesn't look as well rendered as her clown faces she recently did. I was extremely tempted to buy the pink haired clown dolls because of how well she rendered them, however it was out my price range and clowns are not really my thing. But keep on doing your amazing paintings on the tattoos. I know you were a fine arts painter in museums before, I think now you can incorporate that rendering more.

We have made a post relevant to this discussion, which hopefully clarifies the forum rules with regards to copying and how to voice concerns about copying. So let's keep this thread on topic to this FH doll auction. Thank you all!

Isabelle, feel free to use the pictures I took of Song. She has the most beautiful chest I have painted so far! I wish I can make another chest like that. Anyone will be thrilled to have that doll. She is one of my favorites.
