I know Eli for several years now and she always was so great to deal with. She is an amazing person. You can ask her about anything and she will try to help you. I love the way she is working on her dolls, always something new and exciting. I really like her Alice, but if i would order her it would be in Shell. It looks more natural to me. I am very tempted to have this doll. She was absolutely wonderful to my husband and me! It was a very pleasant experience ordering the doll. I had been worried initially, because I've never emailed a doll maker before and I wasn't sure if she would be too busy to respond.

I also ordered a resin from her in the past. She keeps everyone informed as time goes by and is extremely accommodating for a doll maker. Really top notch. I am really tempted by this line.

I've just ordered Alice too (the Shell version, as I've ordered the Moonglass version of Lan a few months ago) . I agree with all of you, Eli is not only a wonderful artist but she's also one of the nicest persons, always striving to help in any way she can. I think those of you who have never ordered from her but are tempted to can do so with total confidence.

Well, i couldn't help myself and placed an order for Alice in Shell. It will be a very long wait, but i think it will worth it.
I just wonder why Moonglass is twice more expensive than Shell? Does anyone know?

I think because the moonglass might have some expensive properties in it to get that translucent look. I'm not entirely sure though!

I agree, Eli is a real sweetheart. I had a truly wonderful experience ordering a resin doll from her in the past. I would have ordered Alice but have a moonglass doll already on order. Can't wait to see the results of her latest work.

Joining the club, awaiting an Alice Egg in Shell! As Eli described it Moonglass has a milky glass look, while Shell looks more like porcelain. It also appears to me, from the photos, to have more definition in details than the Moonglass. Can't wait to see everyone's dolls and hear what you all think of these new materials!

I am sorely tempted for Alice. I love Eli's lace/dentelle dolls. If ever there was a dream of imagination from a lace-knitter it would be a lace doll... and then there they were! by Marmite Sue. I don't have that imagination but still it was like a dream come true when I first found pictures of her porcelain OOAK dolls. I have several of Eli's resin dolls and she is the nicest person. If the pre-order is not sold out closer to the end of the order period, I will mostly likely try to order one. I would like Moonglass, but Shell would also be wonderful. I don't know how I would decide. Not from her face sculpt but the feeling I would have of my Alice would be of Chiana from Farscape - Barb

I love Chiana- and I can see a resemblance there. I also think the way that Alice is painted is kind of Scifi- but for me more "Ghost in the Machine" very anime. I'd love to see her as an android and this ceramic has that kind of feel to me.
