Hello everyone! So I've been a mod here for a while, but never even had the opportunity to touch a porcelain BJD, let alone own one. However, the fantastic bibarina helped change this by selling me her absolutely stunning Angelika Balan doll. I have always loved forget-me-not so it seemed perfect I have discovered I love the feel of porcelain and the wonderful glow of the skin - and having body blushing that doesn't chip at the slightest movement! I was worried about painted eyes, however this girl's eyes are so wonderfully expressive, I should never have worried. For the photos this morning she was brunette, but I also love her as a blonde. To begin, let's focus in on that perfect hand - the position is natural and elegant! Angelika Balan Forget-Me-Not by Kamia Keller, on Flickr I'm so happy that even without an extra joint at the top of the thigh she is able to lift her legs! I love porcelain and I honestly can't stop looking at this girl (I had more plans for photos but the camera ran out of battery ahahah).

embers thank you so much! It means a lot I'll have to take pictures that didn't involve working around my sleeping fiancé's movements next time

embers thank you so much! It means a lot I'll have to take pictures that didn't involve working around my sleeping fiancé's movements next time HA! Is your fiancée under those blankets? If so, yours is a lot more tolerant than mine. She looks just wonderful! I love the lighting and the colors in your photos. Her clothes are lovely too. I like their soft, comfy drape. The Angelika Balan doll I handled could raise her legs a bit too, and so can my Paperwhite with the older body. They both have large hip balls in front, with the hip socket placed towards the front of the doll rather than the middle, and slightly loose hip springs. I think it is this combination that allows for the extra hip mobility.

@allurose - he is!! Hahaha - that's why the background keeps moving xD There was one moment where I'd spent ages sorting her hair and he moved at the exact moment I took the photo and it's her just falling to the side ¬.¬ Thank you for your kind comments! The set is by wimukt actually, I really like some of her 'mori' styles. Like she looks comfy, which feels good! Yeah, the highest she can lift is so her knee is parallel with the beginning of the bust part. It's definitely to do with the shape of that ball, when you turn her leg inwards and then up it works so there seems to be a technique. But it's a bonus really - I thought without the extra joint I wouldn't get that kind of movement. I'm actually really impressed with her range of movement and how well she holds all positions.
