Where is the mess? Your molds look great, very professionally done. I am also very excited to see your doll. How big will be this doll? Do you have a certain character for her yet?

Thank you guys for interest, and I want to say it was mess, I just didn't take pictures like this, because I am very busy cleaning this mess. Ha ha ha!!! When you deal with porcelain slip you never know what can happened. Ones I almost fludded my kitchen, slip was on kitchen cabinets and on the floor. It happened because one small hole in the mold was opened. At list I had lots of fan and something to remember. On this big doll I used almost one gallon of porcelain slip, it's a lot. You need it a lot because I need to feel molds to the top. Now I am busy painting faces and cleaning parts in water, casting more parts. I will make big doll line, not just one doll and will show them in International doll Show in Asheville NC in June this year. Ivdolls - the doll will be 70 cm tall ( not very accurate hight yet). I have design this doll clothing and accessories, it will be Mori girl stile. I just need to sew this clothing, bymyself of course. But first I need put her together, and it take forever. Lilithskybly - thank you, the person who bought this doll want to buy all dark skin girls, I would like them to be together in one home, how sweet, they are sisters and need to be together. I packed her today and tomorrow she will leave my home. I always feel exiting and little bit sad when dolls leaving my nest, they are like my small children and I love them all. I also kissing them good buy and wishing them to have good life in new home. It always very emotional moments for me. Here last picture I took yesterday, China paint layer two. More pictures on this doll progress and other staff you can see on my FB page.

I love hearing your stories, Laura!
How do you plan to string the big doll? Will she have springs or elastic? I was wondering if Marina used springs for her big doll Gloriana. If so they must be very strong to hold all that porcelain!
Can you tell us more about that doll show? Are there other porcelain doll artists there? I can't seem to find good shows for porcelain BJDs in this country...

Ivdolls - thank you, I will post more pictures here if everyone like it, just busy sometimes to do so. I will try my best. Doll head in the middle have a name ( I am always naming the molds), her name is Ofelia. Allurose - I think I will use elastic cord, strong one for stringing this doll, but in the future I want her to have springs, I love it. My stories, oh - I wish I can tell more, but english is my second language and not strong one, unfortunately. This doll show is very nice, it will be show #2 in the same place. Last year I was just one porcelain artist there, but this year Rafael Nuri want to came too, she is my very good friend. And I think this year show will be very very interesting. I don't know who else from porcelain bjd artists will be there, but I know one thing - to see porcelain BjD dolls is hard in person. For people who love dolls like this it will be great opportunity to see dolls in person and speak with artists and I am waiting for these three magical days to come. I loved privious show, it was my first show ever and I will never forget it. I was dead tired but it was Wonderful!!! You can check there website for more details. Just google International Doll Show in Asheville NC. I live very close, just 35 minutes ride by car, it very sweet city too. I hope to see someone there from this lovely forum.
