Yes, Allurose, the mohair feel very soft too. Today I was busy dry cleaning porcelain parts, my son took the pictures. I always do this, when porcelain is soft, make sure parts are smooth inside and don't have thin sharp ages, checking every opening and hole, nusty dirty work. Now I put parts in to the kiln for first firing.

A real Labour of Love! She looks beautifully made. Her face and coloring are soft, muted... lovely.

Your doll has so many joints to deal with too! She's amazing work and very beautiful. Her hair makes her look Raphaelite. I'm looking forward to her costuming. And it is always interesting to see how an artist works! Thank you for your lovely thoughts about the doll in my avatar. I am obsessed with her at the moment...

Silent lips. Love this picture. One moment - and the dolls say something, you just need to know how to listen. And look at this feet. They look so so real to me, and this is before painting. Sweet.

lovely feet. Definite advantages to working large- you can get in all that detail. Can I ask a question about the leather in the joints? how do you decide how much is visible? some doll makers have a lot hanging out, and some just a little.

Thank you Fitz. I think it depends on artist taste, for example I do every join deferent. In some joints I like to use little bit thicker leather then in other joints. Because I know which parts moving more offen ( like shoulders and neck). Here the leather need to stick out a little bit more. But it is just my own opinion.

Thank you very much Domstudio, Bibarina, Ivdolls and Fitz for your lovely comments!!! I like to share doll making process, it's always brings me joy. I just wish sometimes I can take more pictures, when I working and video too, but I can't do it bymyself. It's uncomfortoble ( to make video). Maybe one day. Now I am very busy casting doll parts, cleaning it.... The same not very interesting steps of making dolls, but very very important. Also sewing a little, when I have time. I hope soon enough I can show here my first dressed doll. Steel need to do a lot. And I have Big renovation too, very tired from it already. But it going well, just very slow. Soon I will have my Own Dream Studio just for me and my small creations, it's will be no more Kitchen castings, no more living room doll projects, no more laundry room firings and I will have Big storage ( lots of shelfs) for my precious plaster molds. Yes, can't wait for this moment to come.
