Just arrived, my 52cm Moonglass girl by Marmite Sue.  Very securely packaged, simple but effective! Here she is in the box  I was speechless, I know Eli's dolls are beautiful but I wasn't expecting anything like this! What an absolutely exquisite doll! Straight out of the box - She looks a bit surprised to see her new surroundings...  It was love at first sight! She reminds me of the heirloom dolls we often see in Japanese dollmaker books Beautifully sculpted, look at the dimples in that little bottom!!  Amazingly well painted, it's even possible to see tiny veins in her skin  and those eyes are hand painted too!  I waited 18 months for this doll, poor Eli had so many production problems which I hope are now resolved. Was she worth waiting for? Y E S !!!!!  |

Oh wow, she is absolutely stunning! I LOVE her! I really want one of the larger dolls now!!!!!!!!!!! How do her joints feel? I just love Eli's dolls, they are so magical. I can't wait to find out what her next "something special" is  |

well because she is so large and heavy the joints feel heavy! but considering all this she poses nicely. The ball joints are huge, but it all adds to the antique feel of the doll. I'm really glad I ordered her, she is a very special doll |

I love her beautiful antique look- I agree she looks like a beautiful heirloom doll- her face is amazing. I really love the coloring and shadows on her.

To me it feels like porcelain but with a bit more grain or tooth

Thanks Dina, yes galacticat has described it well. It feels cooler than porcelain too, and more substantial. I love it!

Oh congrats! I'm glad to see another big Moonglass girl. I love that face sculpt- those teeth! She's gorgeous. I don't know if you've dressed her, but I've got mine in a Volks SD sized nightgown and it looks nice on her.
