Angel Egg Resin Dolls by Marmite Sue ~ Website ~ Flickr ~ Facebook ~ Tumblr ~ Twitter ~ CG Society ~ Mixi ~ "Marmite Sue is the pen name of Porcelain doll artist and Illustrator, Eli Effenberger/Satoh The concept of a doll has long been her biggest inspiration, and guiding line in all the many mediums of her creation. From her fashion and wearable art, to both Analogue and Digital paintings. Then most recently, has been focusing on creating hand crafted, articulately jointed Art-Dolls." ( source) Marmite Sue makes stunning resin castings of her porcelain Angel Egg Dolls. She also creates OOAK resin dolls with highly detailed body blushing, embedded gemstones, and custom carvings. Her dolls are available in a Natural (human) body, or a Dentelle (lacy) body. There are several faceplate options, although not all of them are available for every preorder. Her resin dolls can also be ordered with custom shoes and custom body blushing. For a limited time, steel springs were offered as an alternative to elastic for an additional charge. This no longer seems to be available, probably due to time concerns. Her dolls have an incredible range of motion and posing ability. faceplates by Doll Menagerie, on Flickr Total Look options for AE Dentelle by Doll Menagerie, on Flickr AE Dentelle by Doll Menagerie, on Flickr

Her work is so awesome! Her work is so unique! No one has ever done what she makes. A least not to my knowledge. She is one of a kind!

I completely agree, she is one of a kind. I have had one of her dolls on my wish list for a long time! I hope someday I can purchase one. I love the way she melts fashion symbols into the body structure of the doll, like the shoes that form part of the foot, and the corset that is one with the torso. It is a creepy and aesthetically pleasing commentary on our perception of what makes a "beautiful" body. Her Carousel dolls are my favorite...those colors!

Her dolls truly are amazing and her work something different from others! I have three dolls from her, one with Dentelle body on two 'normal' versions. Especially the Dentelle body is fantastic at posing! I really should take time and suede her, then she would be even better.. Here they are all together My three resin Angel Egg dolls by caracal0407, on Flickr And here is Dentelle Marmite Sue Angel Egg Doll by caracal0407, on Flickr And the other one of my 'normal' girls Resin Angel Egg doll by caracal0407, on Flickr If I remember correctly, she has already sculpted new face molds and also new bodies... so as soon as she has time, there will be more gorgeous girls to buy .

Thank You Nightengale and Allurose! (Uh, I just hate it that I don't have words to thank people about their comments -or say anything meaninful in other things.. I am a visual person and other way of communicating is difficult So, yes, I should know something nicer things to say to people, but I suck at it -sorry.)

Carcal - your girls are beautiful. I always love seeing photos of your girls.
Angel Egg dolls are amazing. They're so unique especially the Dentelle body is stunning. I do wish that she hadn't retired certain sculpts e.g. Yuli.

The Angel Egg dolls really blow my mind- so creative! I too, caracal, have a difficult time putting my thoughts into words, even about my own work.

I handled an Angel Egg resin doll yesterday and now I really want one! This will be my first foray into artist dolls. (I have a Volks girl and a MNF so far) The friend that brought her over is trying to get me into the porcelains as well.

Marmite Sue's dolls are truly unique! I absolutely ADORE the faces of her dolls and her creativity concerning the bodies. Beside all these she is also a very nice and helpful person and always responds very fast! A great artist and a great person :-)
