Her name is Konstanze, inspired by the leading role with the same name in Die Entführung aus dem Serail by W.A. Mozart. In the opera, when Konstanze faced the life-threatening punishment from the king to her real fiancé, who was caught for failing to help her escaping from the wedding that she would marry the King she barely knew, she took a vow that being tortured to death with the one for love will be a pleasure, so long as they get to death together.
The opera was composed during the happiest time of the composer’s short life. Mozart named the faithful girl after his be loved wife.
