Thanks, Galacticat. I did find her site the other day and some pix on Flickr. I really like the doll with the braided hair.
Congratulations on winner one of Clara's dolls.

Hey! I managed to win this year's charity auction for yet another doll donated by Clara Fornari! Soooo excited!! She's going to be my first porcelain BJD. Her name is Grace, and here are some pics and the description from the ebay listing. I'm going to pick her up next Sunday at the Italian Doll Convention in Milan, I happen to know Clara through common friends, so it will be a great honor and pleasure for me to own one of her lovely dolls. Yep definitely worth picking her up in person... much better to avoid possible damage and drama due to shipping She will be exhibited during the gala dinner Sat. night, together with the other charity auctioned dolls, and Sunday will be ready to come home! I'm actually quite excited about this year's convention, lots of interesting stuff to see and people to meet ^_^

Lol I've always wanted to go to the IDC, so much variety and extraordinary talent for such a relatively small convention. (Of course, I've also always wanted to go to Italy, so maybe I'll make it work one day and can overlap the two) Please take lots and lots and lots of pictures if you can! I'm always so eager to see all the art dolls and the photos online are always so tiny!

Hi galacticat ! Sadly I filmed lots for my Instagram stories but then forgot to save them If you are on Facebook, there's a group for IDC with lots of photos! I also picked up my doll, at last, she's quite sweet and delicate!! Alas, no time this week to take proper pics. I'll post her in the group as soon as possible

Oh thanks for posting photos She is really lovely! And I really like her sculpted shoes- I love her stand too- so substantial !!! Did yours come with a stand too? It's cute and decorative but a bit bulky if you ask me!! She really deserves her own shelf, or cabinet, I guess

She's gorgeous, Toletta. How lucky you are! Thank you <3 P.S. I've just realized that you mentioned Linda Macario's dolls in a previous reply, I got to meet her at the IDC two years ago, she is the sweetest person! She makes some really sweet porcelain dolls and also has a resin line. I hope she'll be at IDC again next year

I did end up having to give my doll a shelf all to herself- she's very large! She's currently on the top floor of my "odd doll" Cabinet. (Also featuring Marmite Sue dolls and some other unusual little artist made things that don't fit into the standard definition of beautiful...)
