Roma Capitale activates its Open Data initiative. Customer needs: Roma Capitale has immense databases on all issues of public management and administration in Rome which, if appropriately packaged and classified, could be extremely useful for Roman citizens, and not only. For this purpose, the Open Data model is studied and applied in the best possible way, outlining a communication and development strategy with the aim of bringing Roma Capitale's Open Data initiative to the level of what has been done by other major world capitals. In support of the first launch of the Open Data Roma Capitale project, in November 2012 an event was also launched in parallel by Roma Capitale for the promotion and dissemination of Apps, developed by third parties, based on the first available datasets.
Activities: The Digital Product Manager shares the main characteristics of a large Open Data project with the managers of Roma Capitale, identifying the reference benchmarks and possible strategic directions. Leading the creative Nepal Phone Number team, he also proposes possible graphic and communication solutions for a possible logo dedicated to the initiative. Once the strategic features of the project and the project plans have been defined, he lays out the information architecture of the site and a reference prototype, sharing the technological choices of the Tech Manager. Finally, he coordinates the team of specialists (Art, HTML, Programmer) who develop the site.
Role: The Digital Product Manager listens to the customer's needs, analyzes the situation, explores the state of the art on the topic online, correctly applies the Open Data model, shares the possible strategic choices for the realization of the project taking into account the specificities of Roma Capitale proposes the right solutions in terms of functions, times and costs, shares the operating methods, develops the information architecture of the site, coordinates the development team, verifies the quality of what has been achieved. Results: After the strategic analysis carried out during the year, both the information architecture and the complete implementation of the site were created in one month, published online using the Drupal platform.
