When I first got my Angelika Balan doll, people have asked me how do these two girls compare in terms of posability. So I decided to have a little yoga session with my two girls. First pose : Pull up your legs, put one hand on your upper leg and the other on your knee. Second pose : Mediation time Third pose : sit crossed legged, raise your arms above your head and let your finger tips touch each other. Fourth pose : Lay down and pull your legs up. Support your back with your arms. Fifth pose : Lay down and pull your legs up. Put one arm straight into the air. Support your back with your arms. Sixth pose : Sit on your legs, face forward and place your hands near your knees. Seventh pose : Lay on your stomach, cross your legs and support your head with your left hand. Conclusion : Honestly, there isn't any pose that an ED can pull off that a Balan doll can't. I didn't experiment with standing up poses 'cause Balan dolls don't have a stand. But as far as I'm concerned, they're equally matched in posability. Their weight and feel are the same. The only big noticeable difference between the two are their eyes. I've always noticed that Arya's eyes have a certain shine to them. They tend to reflect light, which can often give the impression that they're tearing up/crying. It can be a challenge to photograph their eyes properly. Balan dolls don't seem to have that at all. Some more comparison photos : As you can see, Balan dolls have bigger heads than EDs. I think she can wear size 5 or 6 wigs. Angelika Balan doll on the left, Enchanted Doll on the right. Angelika Balan doll on the left, Enchanted Doll on the right. Hope these photos were helpful ^___^

I love how creative you are with the poses! They do seem to pose comparably. I like to see them side by side also because then the differences between the two in style are much more visible!

I love these. Sooo helpful! Here is a photo I took of my Angelika Balan doll inside the Enchanted Doll tin. She fits in the Enchanted Doll cutout well, although a little tightly.

Thank you for the comparison photos. There seems to be a little bit more of a delicate look with the EDs, mostly due to the painting, I think, and perhaps a few more angular lines in the sculpting, (slimmer face, knees, & shins). Would love to see the Balan dolls in person.

Thanks for the comparison post! Just what I was searching for! I must admit, the face painting on Enchanted Dolls gives them that unique expression, they look very much alive <3 The hip joints seem to be a bit different in shape, too!
