Hello to everyone!
Today I want to tell a little bit about our project of making furniture for our Dolls. Furniture is also an important part of our creativity. All our furniture is cutting on the milling machine. My Father is one who helps me to make it.
Furniture is also art, so we are trying to make something interesting and outstanding. The first step is to find inspiring idea and to design the furniture. Then I create a 3D model in certain program (3Dmax) and cut it for the pieces. Due to our milling machine is 2D, we need to think how to cut and gather all the details. It is not a simple process as sometimes the model can consist of 40-60 small details.
After all preparation on computer I pass all the files to my Father, he works with milling machine and with the wood. This phase of work is also very interesting. He should think under every detail, how is better to place a wood, what is the best proportion, how to gather all details - very creative process )
I am inspired by works of such wonderful designers as Charles Mackintosh, Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, Henry van de Velde. Now we are at the begginig, but we are developing, getting experience, learning, trying to make something new!
I want to show two our works, two chairs. Fist one is a chair-train. The inspiration for this chair was a train. Chair is made of redwood. We made it for our first Dolls for the exhibition.
The inspiration for this second chair was cage for the birds, it made of oak.
I hope you will find our works interesting to see )
