Well, I moved, and as such I put Octavia away in an ED tin box, with her wig in the box with her but not on her head. She was in there for a long time, 3 months or so, before I took her back out.
The wig that I made for her seems to have shrunk. It just doesn't quite conform to her head like it used to, and you can see that the ear area is now higher than it should be.
I am wondering if this is because I did not store it on her head? It was "new" when I put it away, just a few months old, but I did not keep it on her when she was stored anyway.
Could it be the type of glue I used to make the cap? What sort of glue is a good option?

I am sure my wigs shrink too! I haven't tried 3 months but definitely from making to the first month they shrivel more and more.

What is your wig made of? Do you use modpodge to make the cap?

I had been using modgepodge on stocking, but I felt it may have been the stocking so have changed to modgepodge on gauze on which seemed to help. What do you use fawkes?

For this particular wig I used tulle (had it laying around), and Elmer's Glue for the cap, and then fabric glue to attach the hair.

I use thin linen with modpodge for the cap. I sometimes wash the wigs and I've never had shrinkage problems...so far. I use transparent neoprene glue for the hair. I've used fabric glue too but I find it's not sticky enough and not strong enough when dry.
