Hi amoreen, Welcome to the forum. I've seen your name on Enchanted Doll forum. I hope to visit Italy one day. My grandmother came from Sicily--and my husband was stationed in Italy during his time in the Navy. What would be a good doll show to attend in Italy?? I keep up with Magia and some of the other Fashion dolls but would like to see more of the art and porcelain BJD in that area.

There are so much things to see! As to doll shows in Italy, I'm afraid not to be very helpful... The only show I attended to was the Fashion Doll Convention in Grottammare about two years ago where Marina Bychkova came with most of her porcelain dolls and I had a true pleasure and honour to see them in person... my heart still thrills when I think about those moments! One of our sweet memebers (don't know even when??? - probably because I was too excited ;-) ) took few pictures that I still keep on my pc... Other shows, as far as I know, do not regard porcelain dolls, but I am not a very reliable on that issue. Sorry for that! I hope you don't mind if I share with you my happiness:

I am also a huge fan of Marina's beautiful dolls--and of porcelain, Amoreen and love seeing photos of her dolls. I have never had the opportunity to see her porcelains in person, though I was able to get one of her resin dolls.
Do you know Linda Macario? She creates porcelain BJD and lives in Italy. Her dolls are "child dolls" but she does some lovely work. I think the porcelain BJD artists are increasing in Italy. Perhaps they will put together a doll show. Have you attended Ldoll in Lyon, France. They are a BJD event and are starting to draw from all over the world, including some of the Russian & Ukrainian porcelain BJD artists. I do plan on attending that next year (2015). Thank you for sharing your photos.
