She just arrived a few minutes ago!
I bought the doll in an ebay charity auction
Description (originally in Italian)
OOAK DOLL "A GIFT FOR YOU" by CLARA FORNARI
OOAK PORCELAIN ART DOLL
(ITALY)
Description:
°A GIFT FOR YOU° (2015)
Handmade porcelain ball jointed doll (bjd).
The doll is a sad princess anxious to love and be loved.
Her Red heart, throbbing, in one hand, and a bunch of flowers in the other, they are ready to be donated and express all her innocent fragility.
The small and graceful hands, seem to tremble at the thought that the gifts can not be accepted, throwing in a ocean of insecurities and doubts.
She only asks to be loved and to love finally free and happy, protected like a delicate creature and find her place in the arms of love.
So the doll is dedicated to all people who love too much and who lives their passion with the fear of losing loved ones things and much beloved.
"A GIFT FOR YOU"(2015)
Materials:
Doll:Parian porcelain, ball joints, china paint, magnetic tibetan lamb wig, industrial springs, sintetyc leather.
costume and accessories: paper flowers, ceramic armour, fabric, polymer clay heart and shoes
Stand included
The doll comes from a free smoke free pets lab.
17, 71 inches (45cm) tall
Doll comes in her own box, provided by artist
IT COMES FROM NO SMOCKING HOUSE, NO PETS
So the box arrived- a HUGE box! Of course everyone in the office wanted to know what was inside... haha

I was anticipating a company box- since the auction said the doll will "come in her own box, provided by the artist" maybe with the very pretty Puparium artwork on it? But either it was too small or she ran out of boxes- there was only the shipper, no inside box.
Fortunately all of her pieces seem to have been well padded into three separate layers of foam- and the details of her costume are amazing and gorgeous!

I will take pictures when I take her out!
Here is her ebay picture until that time, hehe

I love her melancholy look and the unusual and interesting details of her costume!
It appears that this artist makes a handful of dolls a year, I was looking through the IDC and it appears she had a few more there that I hadn't seen before!
OH one thing I should add that I REALLY really liked- was a truly epic stand! It is really beautiful- I promise to add a picture of her in her stand when assembled.
One thing that was not included- was a COA or anything with the artist's name on it, not even a company card. I thought that was rather unusual? But it may be that she is just very new to making dolls and just doesn't make enough of them for that to make sense for her? Is this common with art dolls? I don't know, this was my first porcelain doll. Usually resin dolls have some kind of certificate or post card or something, but maybe the porcelain community is different?
If I had a suggestion it would be to include a company box or a COA with the name of the company and signature of the artist
EDIT TO ADD NEW PIX
So, some rather bad news. I took her out of her box and tied on her skirt and set her on her stand- and she looked great- but then I heard something fall...

Yes, her fingers tumbled off !!! How could it be? I do wonder if the artist would be able to send me a new hand? So devastating, she will have to stand like this forever...

I will say she does pose well. I couldn't figure out the shoes very well, they don't lie flush with the surface of the stand so I have to suspend her to keep them on. She does stand well without the shoes.
She has lovely spring joints.
UPDATE: The incredibly gracious artist (who was not even the person who mailed the doll) is going to send me a replacement hand AND instructions and a COA! I am very happy! She was so very sweet about it too. I'm sure it is painful to see one of your beautiful creations damaged.
UPDATE: I just received the replacement hand and an absolutely GORGEOUS COA that came in its own little hand-made artsy cover- the hand also came in its own little box- seriously this artist is so sweet and thoughtful!
